The Pine Needle By Acorn Tiny Homes (384 Sq Ft)

Toronto, ON // 384 Sq Ft // $180,000 CAD // By Acorn Tiny Homes

Introducing "The Pine Needle," a thoughtfully designed tiny home created for a single financial planner and her dog. The main goal was to provide a beautiful and rent-free living space while also offering the opportunity for Airbnb rentals. Every aspect of the home was carefully considered, including the incorporation of the dog's crate into the kitchen peninsula for both practicality and aesthetics.

Storage was a priority, and the stairs leading to the raised living room platform were designed with 4-foot deep drawer boxes inside and outside, providing an impressive additional 54 cubic feet of storage. The bathroom features a bump-out vanity, offering more space for movement and comfort. The attention to detail shines through the custom wood siding with its unique angles and the stunning custom butcher block waterfall countertop, complemented by recessed pot lights to create the perfect ambiance.

Measuring 32 feet long by 10 feet 6 inches wide, the Pine Needle offers a total space of 384 square feet. The exterior features a combination of standing seam steel and Shou Sugi wood, crafted by DK Woodworks. The home is equipped with a tankless hot water heater and in-floor radiant heat, ensuring comfort and efficiency. Additional features include a built-in defrosting and ventilation system in the front hall closet, over 40 square feet of countertop space with bar-height dining space, and an appliance garage on the countertop. The home also includes a built-in dog crate and toe-kick food storage, catering to both human and canine needs. Storage opportunities are abundant throughout the house, with almost 100 cubic feet of hidden storage cleverly integrated into the design.

The Pine Needle is truly a unique and functional living space that offers the perfect blend of practicality, aesthetics, and comfort.
