Frontier Community College Tiny House

Students of the Construction Technology Program at Frontier Community College (FCC) in Fairfield, Illinois, built this tiny house and are now offering it for sale later this month!

In total, seven students from FCC and seven students from a dual-credit program with Fairfield Community High School have been building the home since September of 2016. The home has a main floor size of 256 sq ft with additional loft space of 80 sq ft. The exterior features western red cedar which gives the home a nice cabin-style look. There's also a standing seam metal roof and a small front porch!

Inside the home's stained tongue and groove interior is a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom. The home's loft bedroom has several outlets and is accessible by a movable staircase. The sale of the home will include the appliances with an option to purchase the furniture pictured.

The home will be available for sale via public auction on Saturday, May 20th at 11 am at the Workforce Development Center on the north side of the FCC campus. The minimum bid will be $25,000 and the winning bidder will have to put down 15% on the day of the sale. You can arrange viewings beforehand by contacting FCC and arrange a time to view the home.
