The Tactical Tiny House

This year was the first ever Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) tiny house competition. The event recruited 13 colleges in northern California to create energy-efficient tiny houses.

This year's entry from Cosumnes River College is a beautiful, modern home named the Tactical Tiny House. Everything in and out of the home was created by students. The home is solar-powered and includes a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room space, and a foldable dining table.

I really wish they'd gotten a student from one of their media programs to photograph the house. It's beautiful but there are no interior shots and the video tour's a bit shaky. Oh well.
