Briar Tiny House (258 Sq Ft)

off grid tiny house

A beautiful, custom tiny house from New Zealand that's totally off-grid!

The home, named the Briar, was built by Jeff Hobbs, an experienced boat and furniture builder, who owns the company Room to Move. He started building tiny house to provide sustainable and affordable homes.

The Briar took about 2,400 hours to build and had a final cost of $130,00 NZ (about $87,100 USD). The home is powered by two 300 w solar panels mounted on the home's roof. It spans about 258 sq ft and was constructed with SIPs and recycled wood.

The kitchen has a two-burner stove with a range hood, an oven/grill, a handmade sink, and cupboard and storage space. The home's bedroom is in the loft area of the home and is big enough for a queen-sized bed.

Be sure to check ut a video tour of the home below!
