The False Bay Writer's Cabin

False Bay Writer's Cabin

Designed by architect, Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig, this 500 sq ft cabin was designed and built as a writer’s retreat and guest cottage.

The home, named the False Bay Writer's Cabin, was built for a client on San Juan Island in Puget Sound, Washington. It was built using three wooden slat decks that be drawn up against the home to create privacy. When the decks are lowered, the cottage has large windows that allow for visitors to take in the scenic surroundings.
