Casa Cúbica Shipping Container Home (160 Sq Ft)

Shipping containers are rapidly gaining in popularity as an alternative housing solution. They can be purchased and converted into stunning home for a relatively inexpensive price, like this Ottawa-based cabin.

A company in Costa Rica, called Cubica, specializes in building homes, vacation homes and even offices out of shipping containers. Their Casa Cúbica home measures just 160-square-feet but can sleep up to four people and comes outfitted with all the amenities you'd need to live comfortably.

A few items can be pushed into the wall to create more space. There's also a patio on top of the home for additional outdoor space.
