Wikkelhouse: The Cardboard Tiny Home
Named the Wikkelhouse, the home is designed and manufactured in Amsterdam from 24 layers of cardboard. You can have the size customized to suit your own needs, but one segment of the home measures 1.2 meters wide, 4.5 meters long, 3.5 meters high and has an interior size of 5 square meters. It has everything you need to live comfortably including a kitchen, bathroom, and front porch.
The Wikkelhouse is made from 100% recycled materials, comes insulated, and can be placed just about anywhere as it doesn't need a foundation. It's also touted as three times more environmentally friendly than a traditional home.
The home will only be available in Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, the UK, and Denmark until at least 2018. Currently, only 12 are being produced within a year. It's currently being sold as three segments for €25,000.
